Privacy Policy

Markdown Better View is built around a simple principle: your documents are yours. The app collects no personal data, contains no tracking or analytics, and never sends your files anywhere.

The app

• No data collection. The app does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information.
• No tracking. There are no analytics SDKs, advertising identifiers, or third-party trackers of any kind.
• Sandboxed. The app runs in the macOS App Sandbox and can only access the files and folders you explicitly open or grant access to.
• Stays on your Mac. Your documents are read locally and rendered on your device. Remote network requests are blocked, so opening a document never phones home.

Consistent with the app’s privacy manifest (PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy), the only declared API usage is reading file timestamps (to detect changes for live reload) and storing your preferences in macOS UserDefaults on your own device. Neither is used for tracking, and neither leaves your Mac.

markdownbetterview.com uses no analytics, no cookies, and no third-party trackers. It is a static site served over HTTPS. We don’t know who visits or what they read.
